Dear All
If in a newspaper or magazine some write ups/ story/ articles of a writer is published for which a token amount of remunerations or honorarium is paid for should it be subjected to deduction of TDS u/s 194c as contractual payment.
Please clarify and enlighten on the matter.

As per this post - as there is no agreement betwwen writer and publisher same canot be considered as contract U\s 194C
Hence there is no need to deduct TDS
