My in-laws stay in a rented flat in chennai since 60 years.
We do not have the old (original) agreement, but we have rent receipts until 1985 with us for a small amount of rent. They original agreement was made for only 11 months even at that time, so not sure how it can help if we search and find it. (?)
If we wish to vacate the flat, what are our rights? Market value of the flat will be very high now in that area, so can we ask the landlord for a good sum of money when vacating the property ?
