The validity of permission from neighbours

Hi,

I have built  a new home in Burdwan under the Panchyat. Now, two years ago I have got approval from my neighbours for that. now, I want to extend the house. So, in that case, do I need to get approval from my neighbours again?

Now, say one neighbour did not give me permission citing some bogus reason, will I never be able to extend my home?

Please help me.

I don't know, if you want to construct  a  house on your land/plot , why you should take permission from your neighbor. Here you should see, that if you are constructing a house, it would  not be disturbing  any problem to your neighbor.

But in my state - West bengal, we have to get No Objection / approval from neighbours before starting any construction. Correct me if I am wrong. i am extending my house to areas that belong to me.

The approval that I got from my neighbours is 2 years old so does that mean I need to ask for approval again?
