Third party disclosure

Dear experts and readers,

One of my RTI has been treated as Third Party Enquiry and a letter was supposed to be sent to the concerned third party.

But I know the address of third party which I mentioned in my RTI application is not valid since the concerned person is not living in that place anymore today.

What are the chances of getting the information in such case where the notice has not been served to the third party despite the fact that the same address exists in the records of PIO.

Is it my obligation/duty to get his current address or the PIO can disclose the information on non-representation by the third party?

Thanks

If you are third party then go in appeal to the higher officer. Or if you time passed for appeal then again apply in RTI and there give the correct address. Thereafter you may go in appeal if they don’t supply you as per the application within the 30 days.
