To study law degree course

I am a retired Central Government Officer aged 64 years. During my service period I could not study LL.B course. Now I wish to study law and have a proper Degree. But I am informed that persons of my age (or retired) cannot be given admission in college for LL.B. since BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA (or such similar Institution) has resolved not to permit retired persons from practicing as Advocate. But I wish to have law degree only and do not intend at all to do Advocate's profession.
