Total duration for contested divorce under 13(1) (ia)

Hello experts and divorce seekers,

Please share the time taken to get divorce if it is contested.

My wife is working and she earning as good as me (around 60k per month).

We both need divorce, i am asking her to go for mutual divorce, but she wants to contest.

The main reason is, she is asking for 30 lakhs alimony and 15 lakhs as marriage expenses.

After reading through most of the post in this forum, i understood that there is no chance that the court is gonna award her alimony or claim marriage expenses (Since she is employed and earning good).

In this scenario how much time its gonna take, Its in Bangalore family court.

Please dont disappoint me by saying 7 years to get divorce. Just asking about the average time taken in similar cases.

Thank you.

minimum cannot tell you exact time period how many years a contested divorce will take

as already you have all the proof of her earning and her demand ,

after filing for contested divorce (on what ground you both want to file divorce) alimony part will come when the other party want divorce as early as possible

so don't show any interest in alimony just fight for divorce with your confidence and after some time she will come to terms with you for mutual divorce

here at any time of the divorce case if both want mutual divorce say after one year also you can file for MCD and show the time period for divorce case in the court and get it within a limited period at that time you can negotiate the alimony but not now and if you are also interested to settle the issue as early then negotiate the amount from your end and close the issue
