Trade union's activity

I am working in a manufacturing company, there are 9 office bearers in its recognized union, all of them wanted to be in general shift, so that they can work together for union without doing any allocated job, but before formation of this union they were allocated in different shifts.

I do not want them to work together, is there any rules which can force at least few of them to the work in shifts, so that they could not get together all the time during there working hour ?

Here you have to observe two things. One is" Company" and the other one is its "Union". The Union members, who are the "office bearers" of their union, they are the workmen of the company at first  instance. Even though, they are calling as office bearers, the primary duty  of them  is to work for  the company. Later they should have to work for its Union. They should have to work to the satisfaction of the company. If they are not working for the company, the company may have at liberty to take disciplinary action against them as per the company bye-laws.
