Contact any local computer institute to generate a receipt of payment by you, (screen print) if not already done. Inform in writing to the concerned authority about payment of challan. If they insist, file RTI and seek a copy of the challan from them.(!!!!)

You may try the option for submitting an evidence for the proof of payment made and also procure the copy of the online payment to support your claim and submit the same which may satisfy their requirement
