Transfer of property

Dear All,

My mother in law owns a dda flat purchased by her vide a GPA (iirevocable) in delhi. Can she transfer it to her only daughter in the same manner, i.e. vide a GPA(irrevocable) for a certain amount (only on papers)?

Thanks,

Gpa transactions are invalid and don't have any force as per law . However owing to the extremely high number of such transactions in the city , the apex court had regularised all such transactions carried out prior to October 2011 before the Suraj lamps judgement was delivered . Any transaction by virtue of GPA after that date does not confer any valid title . The remedy available to your mother in law to carry out the said sale is a registered sale deed . That will ensure authenticity and effective transfer . 9999931153
