I purchased a ground in Chennai in 1991 and did not use it so long, now as nearing retirement I want to build a house. I approached Registrar office for getting Patta and building approval and now they gave me a shock that the ground is under 'Land Ceiling Act' and I have to spend huge amount of money to correct it only then I can get Patta and then Approval. Please guide me in this regard.
