Urgent memo - explanation needed

my divorce appeal that i made on high court since family court rejected my mutual appeal was in pending state from past 8 months.i was advised on forum to get access to different lawyer.

Based on advise from forum i spoke to my lawyer,to see if can transfer the case , he mentioned after court reopens from summer vacation he will file for urgent memo.he mentioned to my family an urgent memo is been submitted this week.

can someone help me understand what is urgent memo and how long does the court takes to hear the urgent memo .is there something i need to wait for still more months.appreciate any information that you could share.

as a out of turn petition is filed to take up the matter if judge think it has to be taken up then he will order the same and date will be mentioned and on that particular date the case will be heard by the judge if both the parties come

Urgent memo means a prayer for taking up the matter urgently similar to urgent motion hearing. When urgent memo is taken up by the court the applicant shall have to show cogent reason for urgent hearing of the pending case.
