Vakalath

Dear Friends,

In Appeal in Divorce matter in High Court, respondent has filed Vakalath.

That means they have filed Counter?

I mean only Vakalath they have filed or also Counter they have filed?

Because in High Court Web-site, it is shown as Vakalath filed.

Please give me advice.

Regards,

gdk.

Dear GDK

may be the respondent lawyer filed only vakalath and approch to court to give some time to file counter or may be the respondent lawyer filed vakalth with counter,

go to court and inspect the file.

Vakalatnamma means Power of attorney you give to your lawyer to appear on your behalf in your case, to reply, plead & take necessary orders of the court on your behalf even in your absence.
