Value of non-judicial stamp paper

I am applying for renewal of my passport.   I am a resident of Thane, Maharashtra.  I am required to file a notarised affidavit (Appendix I of passport rules) .  Can you tell me what value of non-judicial stamp paper I should use?

2.  Secondly can the non-judicial stamp papers purchased in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu be used in Thane, Tamil Nadu fr the purpose of affidavits?

Rs. 20/- non judicial stamp is enough.

You may purchase stamp paper at coimbatore, it is valid.

but your risk it.  you may purchase it thane, for awoid of language (tamil) promblem, you face at notary office, becoz thane notary not known tamil.

but in stamp paper, your name and village and stamp vendor name and address mentioned in tamil.

so you purchase at thane, by 94432838171

1) Stamp paper purchased any where in India is valid for that amount. As per SC latest judgement stamp paper does not have any validity period.

2) Cheque passport office website for amount of stamp paper used.

Thanks
