Wages / salary

Dear All,

I have question about the composition of Wages and Salary. What would be the % of basic salary in case of Living wages / salary or Fair wages / Salary to the gross salary.

Regards,

Rahul

The most common difference between a wage and a salary is that wages are often paid per hour or weekly while Salary on the other hand refers to how much one is paid monthly or yearly. The earners are normally paid for performance but not by the hour.

The word wages denotes that the amount paid to the WORKMEN after the completion of the work by the management,on the contrary the word SALARY denotes that the amount paid by the employer to the employee after the completion of the contract of service .Moreover the word Wages takes its position in the constitution of India as MINIMUM WAGES ACT,but no such act regarding SALARY
