We are four brothers for our parents. As a younger son, I applied for a Khatha transfer from my older brother. It's a single family house. I was told that after the khatha application is submitted, I have to wait for 45 days for "no objection" from my elder brother. He is not objecting, since it was a divided property and I have a "Release Deed" and "Property division" documents. My question is what is the 45 days waiting period? Is it 30 days or 45 days?
