What are the legal rights and responsibilities/duties of the head of the family?

What are the legal rights and responsibilities/duties of the head of the family?

In Rajasthan, we can create a Jan Aadhar Card which automatically makes my wife the head of the family.

My wife is from a political family, and I and my children have suffered the highhandedness of my in-laws.

While the Jan Aadhar Card has some attractive perks, I want to understand what legal rights and responsibilities the head of a family has.

My wife has been hand twisting me for years to get the Jan Aadhar Card, but I have resisted because I have had enough problems. She and her family had dominated me and my children.

Can some advocate from Rajasthan please tell me what risk I and my children are at if my wife becomes the head of the family as per a government document (the Jan Aadhar Card)?

BTW, my I am the whole and sole owner of my house. Will the nomination/assignment for my wife as the head of the house dilute my ownership of my house or challenge my legal Will?

A "Jan Aadhaar Card" in Rajasthan is a unique identity card for families, acting as a "one number, one card, one identity" system, which aims to create a comprehensive database of demographic and socio-economic information of resident families in the state, allowing for transparent distribution of government benefits directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts; essentially serving as a proof of identity and address for the entire family unit.

The purpose of this is to streamline the delivery of government welfare schemes by providing a single, verified identity for each family in Rajasthan.

The benefits of this is direct transfer of cash benefits to eligible beneficiaries, reduces middlemen involvement, and promotes transparency in government schemes.

The Jan Aadhaar card serves as a form of identification and proof of address for the head of the family and all the members.

The primary objective of the Jan Aadhaar Yojana in Rajasthan is to create a database of the state's residents, and to provide each family with a single card and number that identifies them.

This has nothing to do with your apprehension that your wife will become Head of the family and torture you.

It is your misconception and unnecessary fear that you will be losing your individual identity
