Next time he says something like that, ask what steps? If there are any procedural requirements, you should know them. I always ask, because I don't have a lawyer and I cannot allow them to keep on creating new procedural hurdles each time (seriously, it is their habit). To me it seems like legal jargon for 'phir milenge, break ke baad!' (Source: don't trust my half-baked gyan, but seriously, I have seen judgements full of factual errors - for which my father had to go up to Supreme Court. Judges don't always know what they're saying.]
Good luck with your case!
@mrgop
If judge ask anything to their client ,as a client having right to ask if he doesnt understand .
Thus, if judge said something you have to ask about the clarification from the judge or advocate.
Uma said,
'phir milenge, break ke baad!'
And vakil said to their clients,Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte!(next date me)

1. Next time brief us of the case and what relief you prayed to give you factual suggestions. Like here my guess work is that some relief you asked and probably a process was the way out which is "steps" so you are supposed to take such steps. Take another view if witness list is directed to be filed then it is also "steps" so in 15 days you are supposed to take the steps like that so on so forth.
BTW I likeed Uma's staright forward tips to your query. Appreciate similar women are self contesting their cause. More women shall do so instead of dependent on lawyers (ops I donot mean to finish off my and my ld. brothers bread and butter) but it is just a suggestion which implies that one should know little bit of law and its procedure and practices insteadof totally dependent on a hired ld. advocate that way atleast I enjoy contesting cases of victims as knowledge wavelength sharing becomes easier is what I actually mean here.
