What if advertised discount offer not given by shop?

A textile shop published an advertisement in news paper offering 50% discount on MRP on branded T-shirts for one week without mentioning any other conditions. But they first refused to give any discount saying the stock for discount sale sold out already, and later agreed to give discount only on a few selected colours. They are repeating the same advertisement only to attract people to their shop.

So, can I take any legal action aginst this cheating practice? Is the advertiser legally bound to give discount/other offers which they publish in their advertisement? please help.

Yes, Sir. If the advertisement does not contain any other terms except what you have mentioned herein, you can sue them in consumer court for unfair trade practice.
