Please guide me with "What is the punishment for FRAUD in civil cases"
For eg: A person falls under doing a fraud under Contract Act, Transfer of Property Act, Suppression of MAterial Facts etc...
Can you suggest me how is fraud is penalised : is it only mney or it nvolves imprisonment.

A compromise decree was settled but now reopening case since some material facts have been discovered which pertain to "Suppression of documents" pertaining to false land selling wherein the person didnt have a title & he misleaded into wrong investment...This act of his was not told by him to us or to the court & he was selling an agricultural land which is barred under the "Agricultural Lands Act".
Apart from money, I need to know whether there are strong other measures so as to prove the offence & make him responsible for his fraudulent actions & intentions.

the intention of the seller was to practice deception upon you to part with money for the land of which the transferoe was never the owner , amounts to cheating and is punishabe u/s 420 of the IPC
