What is the time frame for parent maintenance case

My Grandmother filed a parent maintenance case against her son. Two Hearings happened in the Court till date and the Third Hearing is in January 2015. Till now her Son didn't attend any hearing. If her son doesn't attend the hearings at all, then what would happen and what is the Time Frame before the Judge closes the case.

Court will give due time for party to appear, and if it does not, court will order some alimony, and your granny can file execution proceedings, and court will seize or auction any property in her sons name and give proceeds or ownership to grandma which ever might be the case court finds legally correct.

As such there is no time for civil cases, it might get over in 2 months or 2 years.  Courtesy the great judiciary system of our country.

If he hasnt attended the hearing despite the service of the summons, he should have been proceeded ex parte by now.m Clarify from the lawyer, whether the summons were served duly or not

An ex parte decision is one decided by a judge without requiring all of the parties to the controversy to be present.
