In a case that I am handling bail was granted in a case registered by the police against the accused for kidnapping. Later the investigation was handed over to the CBI, I want to know that should I now file a fresh bail or will the old bail which was allowed to the accused will suffice?

Hi divya,
You don't have to obtain bail again coz the liberty of person can not be curtailed unless the accused misuses it or breaches the conditions of bail bond or if some other serious offense is added in the crime.
If the above said factors are absent in your case then you don't have to seek fresh bail again.
