One of my client (a co-op hsg society) is facing a peculiar problem. The society is very old and that time there was no concept of property cards. When property card registration started for Urban Areas in Maharashtra, this socilety also prepared the property card. They have no idea how it happened, but the property cards were made of flats with name of individual flat owners on the property card.
My question is when property card can be made only of land, how did the registration officer made property cards of flats in name of indivual flat holders? and how can we now cancel all those property cards and make one property card of the land on which the society is situated, in name of society?
Correct me if I am wrong, whether property card can me made of flats, in name of individual flat owner?
