Wife's Personal Diary as Evidence in a divorce case

Dear Ld. Advocates, can a personal diary possessed in unauthorised way by husband, be used as evidence in a divorce case filed by husband against wife after leaving her her parent's home on false pretext & filing for divorce in his home town in less than a month. Wife filed an application in the court for return of her belongings. Husband was supposed to return wife's Personal belongings lying in cartons, due tranfer of residence, as per court order. Instead he opened cartons & took possession of the diary. He is now wanting to submit diary as evidence to the court for which filed an application. Can this diary be admitted as evidence ?
Thanks & regards for prompt response.

a diary is an expression of thoughts, dreams, wishes, unreal interpretation, etc. and not a solid confession . Moreover there can be a big difference between what the writer meant and what the reader understands.
