Wife suicide

I have filed divorce case. my wife is staying forcefully at my home with my parents. we are in constant fear that she may commit suicide as she keeps threatening us about that. we have lodged police complaint also

my questions are:-

1. can police arrest us if she commits suicide

2. will we get bail, if yes how soon

3. what all other necessary precautions can we take to refrain from arrest

4. should we run away that time or complain to police if this happens

thanks

You should at once complain to the police about your wife's threatening tactics. This makes her liable for the offence of inchoate extortion (385) /criminal intimidation (506) of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. If she actually takes such a step - 304B (if within 7 years of marriage), if beyond 7 years (306) - you may have to go into hiding for a couple of days, and seek anticipatory bail which would be a little tough to get. Complain now to save all the ignominy and harassment later.
