Will striked off date and signed...valid?

Hello Experts,

1Q. Is it compulsory/mandatory that a "WILL" (hand written Unregistered WILL) should be written as this is my last WILL?

2Q. A "WILL" is written on 30Aug 2013 wittnessed by two, hand written and unregistered . Another "WILL"  in the year 2014 by same person is prepared with different witnesses. Now, the first "WILL" dated 30Auug2013 be striked off (date striked off) and date rewritten with later than the second "WILL" duly signed by TESTATOR only without changing other matter including witnesses is valid?

Thanks for the Response,

Regards,

Lakshminarayan.

Upon executing a fresh Will, the previous Will gets cancelled or invalid automatically whether registered or unregistered..

Hello Sir,

Thank you for the reply. Can the previous WILL be treated as the latest WILL by updating the date and signing across? And is it must to inform about WILL to other children of testator?

Thanks in advance,

Lakshminarayan.
