A friend of mine had filed a s*xual harassment case in Nov 2014. She wants to withdraw it as the case is not moving forward and she has lost her job and lot of money to lawyers, police staff, etc. Hearings have not been done yet, next date is on 26 Nov 2015. The opposition lawyer said, on 26 Nov, charges would be framed and then court summon will be given to the girl, only after that she can withdraw. Also, the withdrawal cannot be done at the police station as the case has gone to the court.
Please provide me some clarification as I do not wish her to waste money and time unneccesarily. She is due to get married in march 2016.
