Rajasthan Shops & Commercial Establishment Act 1958 section 7, it was written that working hours should be forty eight hours in one week. In section 9 it was written that there should be a lunch for at least half an hour. So if there is a lunch for half an hour. in section 9 there should be weekly holiday.
So in a week, Sunday is fixed as weekly holiday.
Now working on remaining six days. 48 hours divided by 6 days ie. 8 hours. Now lunch for half an hour. Now I want to know whether interval for lunch ie. half an hour or suppose one hour, will be included in 8 hours or excluded . What should be working hours of an establishment i.e. from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm + half an hour lunch+ 2 p.m to 6 pm or from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm + half an hour lunch+ 2 p.m to 5.30 pm. Please advice.
