I want to engage the services of an outsourced yoga teacher to practise yoga in an open space in the mornings from 6- 7am. The society has denied my request saying it is commercial activity conducted on societys premises. A few participants from the building may join the class . These will be residents of the building itself. We do not intend to bring people from outside into the premises. The yoga teacher will obviously charge a nominal fee
My understanding is that it cannot be termed commercial as I do not accrue income from it. Im purely engaging in the class for personal health. Earlier, parents had requested for a skating teacher to be called from where children in the building could learn skating and their request was denied on the same excuse and some exuses that cars moving in the society could cause safety issues. We have a huge space around our building and the managing committee says it has to be used only for society functions. Can someone help me with this. Most residents are not happy and want to utilise the space to teach their children skating or conduct yoga in the mornings but the tyrant managing committee does not allow it.
