Allahabad HC asks officials to file affidavit in advocate death case

The Allahabad High Court directed the District Magistrate, DIG, IG and SHO police station Kydganj, Allahabad to file their affidavit within two days in a writ petition filed by the brother of a lawyer who died in a private nursing home.



A Bench of Justice Ravindra Singh and Justice N A Moonis passed the order after perusing the case diary which was produced by government advocate Dr Chandhan in the court.



The judges passed this order on a writ petition filed by S N Mishra, brother of the deceased lawyer, Laxmi Kant Mishra, who died recently in a private nursing home. 



An FIR of the incident was registered at Kydganj police station in Allahabad under section 302 of the IPC against the director of the private nursing, Dr A K Bansal.



The petitioner also filed a supplementary affidavit in the court disclosing other criminal cases registered against Dr Bansal under various offences at various police stations of the city and other districts. 



The court will hear the case on May 7.
