Almost all the courts in Rajasthan, including the High Court - principal seat at Jodhpur and bench at Jaipur, have unanimously taken the decision to boycott the court proceedings on account of alleged fixation of the examination for the ADJ post (direct recruitment)-2010.
A total of 4500 aspirants participated in this examination for appointment to a total number of 36 seats. The result was that only 37 persons cleared the said examination - of this only 14 were rajasthanis and remaining were from U.P., Bihar. It is alleged that large scale misappropriations (under the table deals) took place. The main culprit is alleged to be The Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court - Hon'ble Justice Mr. Jagdish Bhalla.
He is the same person against whom impeachment motion was proposed and was also undertaken for his alleged involvement in various irregularities attributable to him, however the same proceedings could not be completed.
