CBI to Investigate the Killing of Irom Roger Singh of Manipur 

The Central Government, with the consent of the State Government of Manipur, has decided to handover the case related to the killing of Irom Roger Singh to CBI. A notification in this regard was issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions on May 6, 2011. 

Irom Roger Singh was killed in Manipur. The parents of the deceased had met the Union Home Minister on April 28, 2011 in connection with this case and had requested for transfer of the case to CBI.
