Advocate stabbed by client for poor defence in court Mumbai based lawyer was today stabbed by his client outside the Small Causes court here following the latter's dissatisfaction with the way he was defended in the court. According to information received, Advocate Ajay Abada was looking after the civil case of accused Janarhan Atul Kochi, a resident of Worli in South Central Mumbai. Kochi has had a dispute with tenants of the chawl, where he was residing. The court yesterday passed an order, which was communicated to him by Adv Abada this morning. Angry with the order, the accused felt that he was not properly defended by Adv Abada, leading to an heated argument. Later, Kochi stabbed the lawyer using a sharp weapon outside the court, L T Marg police said. Adv Abada has been admitted to a nearby hospital, where he is said to be out of danger. A case of attempt to commit murder has been registered against Kochi, who was arrested soon after the incident. UNI
