Nominated corporator of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), Syed Mujahid, has been arrested by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) for allegedly helping Mohammed Mansoor Khan in the financial fraud case of IMA.
Mujahid was reportedly one of Mansoor Khan’s beneficiaries and had monetary transactions with him. Group directors of IMA, who have been arrested , have also taken his name.
Head of Special Investigation Team (SIT) , who was probing the case stated that the team has seized two phones, a car and several documents related to IMA from Mujahid's possession. On checking the two mobile phones in his possession, the details of his conversation with Mansoor surfaced.
Mujahid was arrested on the basis of the documents seized from his residence during the raid by SIT officials. He was produced before a judge, following which he was sent to the police custody for 13 days.
