The Supreme Court has upheld the NCLT order permitting withdrawal of Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process. The Supreme Court has also observed that an adjudicating authority under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code can allow withdrawal of CIRP proceedings. The case was of K.N. Rajakumar v. V. Nagarajan. The Punjab and Haryana High Court has granted interim anticipatory bail to the singer.

The case was of State Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh v. Union of India. The decision was given by a special bench comprising the Chief Justice of India, NV Ramana, Justice DY Chandhrachud and Justice L Nageswara Rao. The court disapproved of the Centre's practice of extending jurisdiction of the Debts Recovery Tribunal of one state to another state due to the unfilled vacancy of the Presiding Officer.
