Koneru'S Grandson Sends Legal Notice To Ayesh'S Mother

KONERU'S GRANDSON SENDS LEGAL NOTICE TO AYESH'S MOTHER 31 Dec 2008, 0408 hrs IST, TNN VIJAYAWADA: Much in news for his `role' in the Ayesha Meera murder case, the grandson of municipal administration minister Koneru Ranga Rao, Koneru Satish, has sent a legal notice to Ayesha's mother Shamshad Begum, demanding an open apology and withdrawl of her statements linking him to the killing of her daughter. Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Satish said he has tolerated "humiliation and insult" all these days keeping in view of the grief of Ayesha's parents after losing their daughter in a gruesome manner. Satish said he had decided to proceed legally against Shamshad demanding her either to prove the charges or withdraw them. He claimed that the police have cleared him after conducting the required chemical tests. He said initially he thought that Ayesha's mother was making charges out of frustration. "But now it appears she is acting at the behest of others," he alleged. Meanwhile, Satish's aunt and Congress leader Tantiya Kumari has threatened to initiate criminal proceedings against Ayesha's mother under the SCs/STs Atrocities Act if she does not stop making irresponsible allegations.
