SC Rejects Interim Bail Of Ashok Todi 1/6/2009 The Supreme Court declined to accede to the request of the senior counsel Harish Salve for interim bail to his client Kolkata based businessman Ashok Todi, arrested for allegedly abetting the suicide of his son-in-law Rizwanur Rehman. A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justice P Sathasivam fixed the matter for hearing on January 16. The court also granted one week time to CBI to file its response to the petition filed by Ashok Todi seeking bail in the case. According to CBI Todi’s were opposed to the marriage of Priyanka Todi, daughter of Ashok Todi to the deceased. UNI
