SC stays execution of non bailable warrants against Raj thackeray 1/7/2009 The Supreme Court stayed till further orders the execution of non-bailable warrants against MNS chief Raj Thackeray by a Jamshedpur court for instigating violence against north Indians in Maharashtra. A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justice P Sathasivam also issued notices to all the eight complainants in eight cases pending against the MNS chief in various courts in Bihar and Jharkhand. Earlier, senior counsel Uday Lalit, appearing for petitioner Swaraj Thackeray alias Raj Thackeray, contended that in all, eight cases had been filed in Bihar and Jharkhand to harass the MNS chief and these cases should be transferred outside Bihar and Jharkhand. The petitioner had also expressed apprehension about his security, in case he was forced to go to Bihar and Jharkhand. Jamshedpur court had issued warrant against Thackeray on the complaints filed by an advocate Hamid Raza Khan, while seven other courts had issued summons to him. UNI
