SC Orders Transfer Of Illegal Plot Allotment Case To Itself 2/16/2009 The Supreme Court ordered the transfer to itself of five petitions pending in the Allahabad High Court in relation to illegal allotment of 28 plots in Lucknow to SP General Secretary Amar Singh, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yadav’s close aides and senior LDA officers. A bench comprising Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan and Justice P Sathasivam passed the orders on the transfer petition filed by the Mayawati Government contending that all the petitions related to the scam might be heard together by the apex court. The fraudulent allotment has been investigated by Vijay Shanker Pandey committee and Laka committee. The allegations are that prime plots situated in the State Capital were fraudulently allotted to those close to Mr Yadav and Amar Singh was also one of the beneficiaries as he was the chairman of the UP land development council besides senior LDA officers.
