Patna, Feb 25 (UNI) The judicial functioning in Bihar was paralysed today after about 100,000 advocates struck work demanding cancellation of a new order that required lawyers to work thirty mintues more in week days. The agitation, spearheded by the Lawyers Association of Patna High Court, affected the courts work as hearing of the cases could not be taken up across the state. Convenor of the coordinating committee of various lawyer associations Y C Verma said the working hours of the Patna High Court had been extended by 30 minutes. The working hours were from 1030hrs to 1615hrs but now it is between 1015hrs and 1630hrs for High Court and 1000hrs to 1700hrs for other courts. President of the Patna High Court Lawyers' Association Rajendra Prasad Singh and his Secretary Sandeep Kumar said their agitation paralysed the functioning of the courts and demanded restoration of old working hours.
