Customs moves High court on Barreto's passport Barasat, Apr 15 (UNI) Indian Customs department has moved the Calcutta High court challenging a lower court's order to return the passport of Mohun Bagan's Brazilian footballer Jose Ramirez Barreto. Barreto's passport was confiscated after his arrest at Kolkata airport on March 20 for alleged violation of the Indian Customs Act as the city's popular soccer player was carrying undeclared foreign currencies over 20,000 dollars. Barreto was arrested before boarding a flight for Rio-de-Janeiro via Dubai. Though the Barasat court had released the player on bail on the same day, after being produced, but allowed the Customs officials to conficate his passport.
