Delhi Police directed to make fresh inquiry into undertrials

A city court ordered that security be provided to the undertrial who has raised the issue of mobile phones being used by the undertrial in Tihar jail.

Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Kaweri Baweja also directed the Delhi police to make a fresh inquiry into the allegations of complainant and submit a report before the court on July 25.

The court had earlier directed that complainant and ACP Sanjeev Yadav to be present in the court. The undertrial complained before the court that he was being threatened and all the mobile phones were removed before the inspection.
