Haryana assures SC of continuous water supply to Delhi

The Haryana Government today assured the Supreme Court that it will continue to supply 125 cusecs of water to Delhi everyday as per the directions of the apex court.

A bench headed by Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan had, on the last date of hearing, directed the state government to supply 125 cusecs of water to Delhi everyday.

The directions were issued when Delhi Government complained to the Supreme Court that Haryana was not supplying water despite the fact that Delhi had already paid for it.
