The Union Cabinet on Thursday approved the Human Resource Development Ministry’s proposal to amend the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007, for bringing the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) within its ambit.
The amendment Bill also seeks to strengthen the transitional provisions of the Act.
