The Centre ruled out any intervention in the appointments in higher judiciary, saying such matters were handled as per the set Constitutional guidelines.

"We do not depend on the perceptions of different people.

The issue of the appointments should be left on the Constitutional authorities," Union Law Minister Veerappa Moily told reporters.

He was responding to questions over posting of Madhya Pradesh High Court Chief Justice Ananga Kumar Patnaik and others into the Supreme Court.

Dr Moily said he was not aware of the charges against Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P D Dinakaran and declined to comment in this regard.
