CUFFE PARADE CASE Man who fled with CA firm's money arrested in Mathura Mumbai: After being on the run for four months, a 40-yearold man was traced to Mathura for misappropriating a Cuffe Parade-based CA firm's profits of Rs 50 lakh. Santosh Kumar Pathak worked as an assistant at the CA partnership firm, Pathak HD & Associates. According to the police, he was asked to deposit the company's proceeds of Rs 50 lakh in a bank, but he never reached it. Instead, he fled to Mathura with the money. "Four months ago, the firm's manager, Gyandev Chaturvedi, filed a complaint. He mentioned that Pathak hailed from Mathura,'' said senior inspector Dhanraj Vanjari. The Mathura police, who were informed of the matter by their Cuffe Parade counterparts, arrested Pathak on Friday. The Cuffe Parade police then went to Mathura to bring Pathak back on Saturday. The money is yet to be recovered. "Pathak will be in police custody till August 27. He faces charges of criminal breach of trust," said Vanjari." TNN
