The Government has said that there are only four Acts passed and assented to by the President during the last fourteen years which are yet to be enforced.  They are as follows:

(1)                Tamil Nadu Legislative Council Act, 2010. (16 of 2010)

(2)                Coinage Act, 2011.                                         (11 of 2011)

(3)                Factoring Regulation Act, 2011.                    (12 of 2012)

(4)                The Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research Act, 2011.      (13 of 2012)

Giving this information in written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha today, Shri Salman Khurshid, Minister of Law & Justice, said that the concerned administrative Ministries/ Departments have to implement/ enforce the Acts based on their administrative preparedness for implementing the Act.  The desirability or otherwise of implementing of Acts is also a policy decision to be taken only by the concerned Ministry/ Department.
