All India Bar Association - National Bar Association Awards

The All India Bar Association conferred its national awards for the year 2008 upon outstanding lawyers and legal journalists. Chairman of the Bar Council of India Mr S N P Sinha,Assistant Solicitor General Dr Anmol Rattan Sidhu,Chairman of the Bar Council of Madhya Pradesh Mr Rameshwar Neekhra,Standing Counsel for Govt of NCT Mukta Gupta and lawyers O P Saxena and C B Verma were honoured for their contribution to the legal profession. Chairman of the Law Commision Justice A R Lakshman gave away the awards. Meanwhile, Adish Aggarwal, Chairman of the All India Bar Association and president of the Supreme Court Association conferred the awards to senior legal journalists -- Satya Prakash (Hindustan Times) Vivek Varshney (Navbharat Times) A Subbarammi (TOI Mumbai) at a small function.
