Acting Chief Justice Shri Raghvendra Singh Chauhan is appointed as the permanent Chief Justice of the Telangana High Court

Justice Chauhan, who was currently presided the Telangana High Court in the capacity of its Acting Chief Justice has been affirmed by the Hon’ble President of India to assume the permanent office of the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court by virtue of the notification dated June 19, 2019.

Shri Raghvendra Singh Chauhan, who was a practicing Advocate in Rajasthan High Court, was elevated as Permanent Judge on 13th June 2005. He was transferred to Karnataka High Court in 2015. Thereafter he took oath as a judge of the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the State of Andhra Pradesh and Telanaga on 23.11.2018 and later became a judge of the Telangana High Court.[1]

The vacancy of the Chief Justice of Telangana High Court became arose due to the transfer of former CJ Justice Thottathil B Radhakrishnan to Calcutta High Court.
