- CLAT is a national level entrance exam for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 22 National Law Universities around the country. The examination is organized by The Consortium of National Law Universities consisting of representative universities.
- The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020 was scheduled to be conducted in the month of May and has been postponed till further notice.
- This was announced by The Consortium of National Law Universities that organizes CLAT.
- The examination has been postponed at least four times in this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the authorities wish to make sure that all the candidates write the exam in a safe space.
- Prof. Chouhan, Convenor of this year’s CLAT and also Vice-Chancellor of Dharmashastra National Law University (DNLU), Jabalpur,has told that the new date for the law entrance exam will be announced soon after consulting education and home ministries.
