- On 30th April 2020, renowned jurist Soli Sorabjee, who was also the former Attorney General of India died due to COVID-19.
- He had seven decades-long experience in the legal profession and also served at the highest office of Attorney General of India twice.
- He served the office for the first time from 1989 to 1990 and for the second time from 1998 to 2004.
- Mr. Soli began his career in the legal profession in the year 1953.
- He also assisted Mr. Nani Palkhivala in the landmark case of Keshavnanda Bharti.
- In 1971, Mr. Soli was designated as a senior advocate.
- In 2002, he was awarded the second-highest civilian award-Padma Bhushan.
- Today, on his demise, the Honorable President of India, Prime Minister, and the Apex Court gave their tribute to an icon of India's Legal System,
